The BCCI has finally named the squad for the all-format West Indies tour which is all set to kick off from August 3rd. Though there were a lot of speculations regarding the captaincy switch and rest for the current skipper Virat Kohli, things took a 180-degree phase shift. He is back to lead the side sans a “little” break. What caught attention is certain choices made by the selectors as a part of the renovation.
The management entrusted its faith on Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey. The former was always a part of selection rumours but missed out on various occasions. His recent performances have really paid dividends as he is set to be tested on the Indian middle order of the limited-overs.
