Young fast bowler Kuldeep Sen has been ruled out of the second ODI against Bangladesh scheduled to take place at the Sher-e Bangla Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday, December 7. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer who made his debut in the last game, picked up two crucial wickets.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in a statement said that Kuldeep complained of back stiffness after the first game. He has been advised to take rest by the BCCI’s medical team.
“Kuldeep Sen complained of back stiffness following the first ODI on Sunday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him and has advised him rest. He was not available for selection for the 2nd ODI,” the BCCI wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, speedster Umran Malik replaced Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI. Umran, who made his ODI debut against New Zealand, will look to cash in on the opportunity with the ODI World Cup scheduled to take place next year at home.
Bangladesh have won the toss and asked India to bowl first on this wicket. Apart from Kuldeep Sen, all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has also been dropped with Axar Patel replacing him in the playing XI.
The Men in Blue will be desperate to bounce back as they currently trail the three-match series 0-1 after losing the first game by one wicket.
