Dewald Brevis of MI Cape Town performed the ‘No-Look Six’ during a match against Joburg Super Kings in the ongoing SA20 league. Joburg were bundled out for 105 runs in under 18 overs after being forced to bat first by the hosts at Newlands.
In response, openers Brevis and Ryan Rickelton put on a 65-run stand before the latter was bowled by Gerald Coetzee. In the middle of the innings, young Brevis, who is known for his unconventional shots, hit a ‘No-Look Six’ off Aaron Phangiso’s delivery.
Without even looking at the ball, the 19-year-old smashed Phangiso for a maximum in the first ball of the eighth over, and stood firm with his classy shot selection as he got down on one knee while playing it.

Cape Town has made a respectable start to its campaign in the newly formed SA20 league. After defeating Paarl Royals in their first match, the side was defeated by Durban’s Super Giants in their next match before rebounding with a 7-wicket victory over Joburg in their most recent match.
The team’s next match is against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape on January 18 at the St George’s Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha. The Sunrisers have lost both of their opening matches and will be looking for their first win in the league in the inaugural season.
While Cape Town has been playing exciting cricket in the league so far, Sunrisers have not been at their best. Furthermore, the franchise from Gqeberha has a net run rate of -1.500. As a result, if they want to move up the table, they will have to up the ante and win big. It remains to be seen whether the team will finally be able to get a result in their favour in the upcoming match.
