Australian batter David Warner has been ruled out of the ongoing second Test match against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi after suffering a concussion. He was hit on the head while batting during the first day’s play. Matt Renshaw has been named as the concussion substitute for the Australian opener.

The left-hander was dismissed by Mohammed Shami, who induced an edge with an outswinger. During his knock, he was hit on the elbow by Mohammed Siraj, and then twice on the helmet. Warner continued batting after the blows, however, he did not come out to field later in the day.
