On Saturday, April 1, the third match of the Tata IPL 2023 will take place at Ekana Sports City between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Delhi Capitals.
The DC franchise will benefit greatly from David Warner’s availability as they work to rebuild their shaky top order. DC’s success in front of a potent LSG-hitting lineup will depend on Mustafizur Rahman.
LSG will be paying attention to KL Rahul’s performance. Deepak Hooda will once more be a key component of LSG’s batting order. The 27-year-old has gained popularity ever since making his India debut.
Between DC and LSG, a new IPL rivalry will start. However, players from both teams have previously faced off against one another. There seem to be a few interesting player matchups in the competition that could be the deciding factor.
3 Key Player Battles To Pay Attention To In LSG vs DC Match:
1) Krunal Pandya vs. Prithvi Shaw
After a disappointing run with the Mumbai Indians, Krunal Pandya has started to perform well for his new team, LSG. Although he doesn’t make many notable appearances, the 31-year-old is equally helpful with the ball. Prithvi Shaw is excited to compete on the field.
Shaw will have his work cut out for him if he wants to defeat his foe, Krunal. Despite dismissing Shaw three times in eight innings, the LSG all-rounder has conceded 50 runs in 30 balls. It will therefore be interesting to see who prevails in this conflict.
2. Ravi Bishnoi vs. David Warner
After making his Team India debut, Ravi Bishnoi has impressed. When there is spin bowling, Warner is one of the players who hurt the team. The southpaw averages 152 points against leggies.
Warner, however, has struggled to get going against Bishnoi as he has struck out twice in as many balls. Additionally, the wicket at Ekana Cricket Stadium has been the best for spinners in any venue. This is one of the player confrontations to watch when LSG and DC face off on April 1.
3) Mustafizur Rahman versus Quinton De Kock
LSG chose Quinton De Kock because of his excellent reputation, and the southpaw has lived up to it. His performance in the Tata IPL will be essential to LSG’s success. In his matchup with Mustafizur, De Kock wants to maintain his lead.
Though Mustafizur Rahman must be approached with caution by De Kock. The “Fizz” has dismissed De Kock three times in 18 balls, setting up a competitive matchup.
