Royal Challengers Bangalore provided a great display of cricket to defeat Delhi Capitals to get their campaign back on track with 23 run win over M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 15 April 2023 in the IPL 2023.
Virat Kohli continued his fine form this season so far with 3rd half-century. He scored 50 off 33 deliveries and caught at the boundary by Yash Dhull off a full toss. After his fifty, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s batting failed to deliver.
Shahbaz Ahmed and impact player Anuj Rawat put on unbeaten 42 runs for the 7th wicket that helped Royal Challengers Bangalore post 174 for 6 in 20 overs.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers and fielding looked sharp. Anuj Rawat produced a brilliant direct hit to dismiss Prithvi Shaw in the first over itself. Wayne Parnell struck to dismiss Mitchell Marsh and left DC struggling.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore moved to 7th in the points table.
Royal Challengers Bangalore performed well
After two successive losses against Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a decent total of 174 for 6. Virat Kohli was the top scorer with 50 while Lomror, Maxwell scored valuable runs but could not kick on. Kuldeep Yadav produced a magical over dismissing Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik off successive deliveries.
After the match, Virat Kohli shook hands with Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Pointing and did ignore Sourav Ganguly. Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly’s issues off the field are not over yet. A similar incident took place when Virat Kohli and Ganguly did not meet each other in the 2021 edition of IPL.
When Sourav Ganguly was BCCI President, Virat Kohli was removed from captaincy across all formats.
