Team India’s fielding coach R Sridhar has joined hand to battle the pandemic coronavirus which has halted the daily life of humans. Sridhar has pledged to help with Rs 4 lakhs to battled the COVID-19 which has started to turn fatal in the country.
Since it broke out in China, the COVID-19 has taken away almost 50000 lives across the world. China, Spain, Italy, and the United States of America are the most affected places in the world. In India also there have been more than 1500 positive cases registered with the death toll touching almost 50.

The lockdown of workplaces and schools meant a large chunk of the people are without their minimum income struggling to provide a three-times meal to their families. As a result, many celebrities and sports personalities have come up to donate to help the needy.
After India skipper, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly to name a few came out in support, R Sridhar also vouched to help the underprivileged people in the country.

Sridhar has donated Rs 2 Lakh to PM Cares fund, Rs 1.5 lakh to Telangana CM fund and Rs 50,000 to Sec Cantt Board. Since there is no cricket going on, Sridhar like other coaches of the team has no coaching assignment for now.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to take a final call on the future of the Indian Premier League. They have postponed the league until April 15 which was scheduled to commence from March 29. It is only expected to come up with a notification later this month when the prevailing lockdown gets over.
