The Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans are scheduled to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 grand finale on Sunday, May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The IPL 2023 has ebbed and flowed throughout the league stages and the playoffs.
The cash-rich league has seen a tremendous rise in popularity, prominence, and stature on the international stage, as evidenced by the consistent increase in prize money for the teams over the years.
This year’s CSK-GT final winner will take home a mind-blowing 20 crores, while the runners-up will each receive 13 crores.
Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, who placed third and fourth, respectively, received 7 crores and 6 points 3 crores each.
Sunil Gavaskar comments on the CSK-GT by saying, “My heart wants CSK to win”.
In a series of Individual awards presented after the final, the winners of the Orange Cap and Purple Cap receive 15 lakhs each.
Remember that when the IPL first started in 2008, the winner’s prize was worth 4.8 crores, and the runners-up received 2.4 crores.
Even though the prize money was the highest in franchise cricket even back then, the increase from that point to the present illustrates the IPL’s incredible growth to the point.
Sunil Gavaskar acknowledged that the Gujarat Titans have been the best team in the IPL and expressed his desire to see MS Dhoni win the trophy once more.
In the championship game, GT and CSK placed first and second in the league stage point standings. They will face off to see who can win their second championship in the previous three years.

I’ve always considered the Chennai Super Kings to be my second favorite team, right behind the Mumbai Indians.
My heart fervently desires a victory for CSK because it would be fantastic if MS Dhoni could do it again.
The best team, though, has been Gujarat Titans. They have a fantastic opener in Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill.
Shubman Gill and Mohammed Shami, the Orange and Purple cap leaders for GT, have led their team to three victories against Chennai in four IPL games.
CSK can be encouraged by the fact that they triumphed over GT in their most recent Qualifier 1 encounter.
Dhoni and his team will play in a record 10th IPL final in the 2023 season. While GT will compete in their second straight final as they attempt to defend their title from the previous year.
