Shubman Gill, an Indian opener, was one of many cricketers who used social media on Father’s Day. His father, who also serves as his coach, and Gill are very close.

The cricketer’s father made a significant contribution to his journey to becoming a professional, and the opener posted a touching caption with a photo of the two of them.

I can’t possibly express how I feel about you, Dad, in words or in writing. For me, you are beyond words.”

On Father’s Day, renowned Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar wrote on Twitter about the influence his late father had on him personally.

He tweeted:

My dad was a loving guy, not a strict guy. He operated with love instead of fear. He was a huge influence on me and taught me so much. His way of thinking, his values, and his conception of parenting were well beyond his time. Baba, I miss you!

Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal, two other cricketers, also shared photos of themselves with their children and wrote about the unique feeling they experience as fathers. On the occasion, KL Rahul, Mithali Raj, and Dinesh Karthik all posted on social media.

Here are a few of the responses:

The following month, India will play again against the West Indies. A full-fledged tour featuring two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20 internationals will now take Team India to the West Indies in July and August.

It’s possible that new players will be added to the longest format after the defeat in the World Test Championship final against Australia.

The three ODIs and five T20Is will be important for India’s preparation for the T20 World Cup in 2024 and the ODI World Cup in 2023, respectively.

Given that the T20 World Cup will be held in the West Indies and the United States next year, it will be intriguing to see which fresh faces get called up to the T20I team.
