The Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced an 18-member squad for a preparatory camp ahead of the two-match Test series at home against India on Friday, June 30. Kraigg Brathwaite has been named the captain of the team. The two-match Test series will kick off on July 12 in Dominica. The two teams will also play ODI and T20I series.
The West Indies team camp will be held at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua from June 30. Among notable absentees from the players selected for the camp are Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph and Kyle Mayers. The trio is part of the ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe. They are likely to be released ahead of the Test series.
West Indies squad for the preparatory camp includes Kemar Roach, Tagenarine Chanderpal, and Shannon Gabriel, among others. The selectors are likely to name the team for the Test series soon. The selected players will travel to Dominica on July 9, three days before the first test match begins.

The multi-format India tour of the West Indies is all set to take place from July 12 to August 13. They will play a two-match Test series, which marks the start of India’s campaign in the 2023-25 World Test Championship. Following the series, they will play a three-match ODI series. This will serve as a preparation for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The two teams will play a five-match T20I series before concluding the tour.
