Rashid Latif has made a shocking disclosure, stating that cricketers haven’t received their payments for a staggering five-month period. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has surprised everyone by revealing this information. There were hints of a lack of camaraderie among team members, causing division, but the Pakistan Cricket Board has denied these rumors. However, recent reports from Pakistani media suggest that players are disheartened by the board’s support in the last 15 days.
Latif mentioned that Pakistan players are in a challenging situation as their central contracts, which were previously agreed upon after a standoff with the PCB, are now being reconsidered. Players are unhappy with the board’s response to criticism and are disheartened by official statements. Latif’s revelations have added to the turmoil in the cricketing community. Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been trying to contact PCB officials, including chairman Zaka Ashraf, since Wednesday, but his messages have gone unanswered.

This frustration arises from the fact that players haven’t received their salaries for the past five months. Notably, the statement suggests that any potential change in captaincy will be considered after the World Cup, which undermines Babar’s leadership role.
He further remarked “In the Pakistani media, many things are happening. Perhaps they are false news. I will provide you with the true news, which was kept on hold. Babar Azam has been trying to contact the chairman for the past two days, but they are not responding. He is messaging Salman Naseer (Chief Operating Officer), and he is messaging Usman Walha (Director of International Cricket)”
Furthermore, Rashid Latif asserted that the Pakistan players were informed that the central contracts they had recently agreed to would undergo a review by the board. Prior to the World Cup, there had been a protracted dispute between the PCB and the players regarding these contracts before they ultimately reached an agreement.
