The Team India has reached Mumbai for the highly anticipated semi-final against New Zealand on 15th November at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Numerous Indian players, including KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, and Ravichandran Ashwin, were seen boarding a bus outside Mumbai airport in a video circulating on social media.

Support staff members were also visible in the footage. Ravindra Jadeja was accompanied by his wife, Rivaba Jadeja. Notably, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Mohammed Siraj were not present in the brief video.

The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the first semi-final between India and New Zealand on November 15

India has experienced an exceptional journey in the current ODI World Cup, securing victories in all nine league stage matches. Their path to the semifinals was sealed with an exciting triumph against the Netherlands in the final group stage game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on November 12.

In the match, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, won the toss and chose to bat. Rohit, along with Shubman Gill, commenced India’s innings with a 100-run opening partnership, but Gill was dismissed for 51 runs by Paul van Meekeren.

Subsequently, Rohit paired with Virat Kohli, who also achieved a half-century, consolidating India’s position in the game. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul took charge for India, achieving respective centuries and leading the team to its highest total in the ongoing tournament, reaching 410.

Iyer remained unbeaten with 128 off 94 deliveries, while Rahul scored 102 off 64 deliveries. In the second inning, Indian bowlers dominated from the start, dismissing the Scott Edwards-led side for 250 in 47.5 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja claimed two wickets each, while Kohli and Rohit secured one scalp each.
