Auctioneer Mallika Sagar will preside over the IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25, according to a report by the Times of India.
This marks Sagar’s second consecutive IPL auction, having previously replaced Hugh Edmeades at the 2024 mini-auction, making her the first female auctioneer in IPL history. She also hosted the first two auctions for the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
With two decades of experience as an auctioneer, Sagar is well-versed in the field. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia and began her career at an international auction house in New York City. In addition to cricket, she also hosted the auction for the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).
Other prominent auctioneers from previous IPL auctions include Richard Madley and Charu Sharma.
