Pakistan‘s head coach Grant Bradburn, team director Mickey Arthur, and batting coach Andrew Puttick face potential dismissal, as reported by a local news channel.
Following Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the World Cup 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board is reportedly considering the dismissal of its entire group of foreign support staff.
Former Pakistani cricket stars, like Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, and Abdul Razzaq, suggest that Babar Azam step down from captaincy and concentrate on his game after Pakistan’s World Cup struggles under his leadership.
As per Samaa TV, this includes head coach Grant Bradburn, team director Mickey Arthur, and batting coach Andrew Puttick. PCB chief Zaka Ashraf is expected to convene an emergency meeting with former captain Younis Khan on Tuesday to finalize the decision.

The board plans to evaluate Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the tournament, where they fell short of reaching the semi-finals with five losses in nine league games. Pakistan secured the fifth position in the points table with 8 points.
Remarkably, this marks the second consecutive ODI World Cup where Pakistan couldn’t progress past the group stage, following a similar outcome in the 2015 World Cup in Australia.
Despite being the top-ranked ODI team recently, Pakistan faced another setback by not reaching the finals of the Asia Cup this year. The disappointments in both major multi-nation tournaments are considered the primary catalyst for the significant changes expected in Pakistan cricket.

This comes after Pakistan’s bowling coach Morne Morkel resigned. Morkel, along with Arthur, Bradburn, and Puttick, joined Pakistan’s coaching staff earlier this year as part of a reshuffle.
While Arthur mainly supported the team online due to his county contract, Morkel and others were consistently present with the team since June.
