IND vs ENG: England Team To Take A Refreshing Break And Depart Abu Dhabi Post 2nd Test Match

After concluding the second Test in Visakhapatnam, insider information reveals that the England cricket team is embarking on a hiatus in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Despite leading the series 1-0, England finds themselves trailing India by 171 runs at the end of Day 2 in the second Test.

It’s worth noting that England diligently prepared for the high-stakes Test series with India through an extensive training camp in Abu Dhabi, opting to forgo a practice match in India before the series opener in Hyderabad. Contrary to skeptics’ expectations, they defied odds at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, clinching victory by 28 runs against a formidable Indian team.

The break for the English players will kick off in Abu Dhabi post the second Test, offering them a chance to reunite with their families. Subsequently, they’ll return to India for the remaining three Tests, with the next one scheduled for February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

In the ongoing second Test at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, India holds a dominant position after two days of play, securing a first-innings lead of 143. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma, the openers, contributed 28 runs in their second innings. Earlier on Day 2, India posted a respectable first-innings score of 396, propelled by Yashasvi Jaiswal’s maiden Test double century. This set the stage for Indian bowlers to shine, with Jasprit Bumrah leading the pack with an impressive six-wicket haul, conceding only 45 runs. Kuldeep Yadav, making a return to the Indian Test lineup, complemented with three wickets.

Despite India’s current dominance in the second Test, there is a cautionary note about England’s ability to stage a remarkable comeback, as witnessed in the first Test where they snatched victory from the brink of defeat. The series continues to be finely poised with both teams gearing up for further battles on the cricketing battlefield.
