Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh apologizes to an aspiring cricketer after one of his shots struck the youngster on the forehead. Rinku promptly approached the cricketer to extend his apology.
While practising with Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024, Rinku Singh found himself in a tricky situation. During the nets, one of Rinku’s powerful sixes struck a young cricketer on the forehead.
On March 12, Tuesday, Kolkata Knight Riders shared a video of the incident, where Rinku promptly approached the child, offering his apologies. KKR’s batting coach Abhishek Nayar accompanied Rinku and presented the young cricketer with a Kolkata Knight Riders hat.
Rinku Singh went on to autograph the hat for the young cricketer before the latter departed. You can watch the video below:

Rinku emerged as the standout player in KKR’s lineup during the 2023 season of the IPL. It was his first opportunity to participate in a full IPL season, and he delivered an exceptional performance. Rinku’s outstanding display in the IPL 2023 not only made him a well-known figure but also earned him a place in the Indian team as a specialist finisher.
Since his debut with the Indian team, Rinku has performed remarkably. The left-hander has accumulated 356 runs from 15 games at an impressive strike rate of 176.23. Rinku boasts an average of 89 with the Indian team and recently scored two half-centuries.

The batsman is likely to secure a spot in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024, with the team relying on the Indian Premier League for the selections. Rohit Sharma is set to lead India in the tournament, making a return to T20I format after a year-long hiatus. Virat Kohli is also anticipated to be part of the T20 World Cup squad alongside Rohit.

The participating teams alongside India in the T20 World Cup comprise the host nations West Indies and the United States, along with the top eight performers: Australia, England, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
The ICC has introduced a novel format for the competition, intensifying the competition as teams are grouped into five sets of four, and the top two from each group progress to the Super 8s.
