There is some big news for cricketing fans in India, Sony Sports struck a seven-year deal with New Zealand Cricket. The live matches on TV were shown on Amazon Prime in India. The deal with Amazon ends this summer.
Pakistan tour of New Zealand 5 T20I match series, 3 T20I and 2 Test matches versus Australia were shown on Amazon Prime in India. It is a massive deal as Indian fans can watch New Zealand cricket live on TV.
The Indian Cricket Team will tour New Zealand in 2026-27 and then 2030-31. The deal will come into effect from 1st May 2024 and will go until April 30, 2031. The matches will be shown on Sony digital platform called Sony Liv.

“It’s fair to say this is a significant commercial agreement, Sony has a large presence in the Indian market on both linear and digital platforms and we’re looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership. It’s been a great experience working with the SPNI team while finalizing these arrangements,” Smith said.

Sony Pictures Network India digital rights in India will go along with Prime for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons.
Important Matches To Be Shown Live
New Zealand Cricket will show live important matches during the seven-year deal. It will telecast a bilateral series against England, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan in 2024-25. They would also show two men’s series against India to be played in 2026-27 and 2030-31.
The cricketing fans would be enjoying live telecast in New Zealand and hoping to see great action.
