KL Rahul appeared to be in excellent form when he stepped onto the field to bat against Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium. During his short innings of 15 runs, he provided photographers with plenty of material to capture.
When Arshdeep Singh delivered the fourth over of the innings, Rahul elegantly drove a full-length delivery over mid-off. He held his pose, confident in his well-executed shot, and the replays confirmed his skill.
Rahul swiftly dispatched the third delivery of the over for a boundary, once more a pitched-up delivery from Arshdeep. Rahul anticipated the trajectory of the ball, leaning into the delivery and lofting it over the bowler’s head, sending it racing to the fence.

However, the young left-arm pacer had the final triumph after facing a tough time against his more experienced counterpart. On this occasion, Arshdeep delivered a back-of-a-length ball, angling it across Rahul’s stance. KL Rahul attempted to use the pace to steer it towards the backward point but couldn’t keep it down, and Jonny Bairstow made sure it didn’t escape.
Rahul served as the impactful player while Pooran took on the captaincy role for LSG
He is exclusively playing as an impact player in the current match, a confirmation made by Nicholas Pooran. Pooran, during the toss, revealed that the Karnataka player was resting due to an ongoing recovery from a quadriceps injury sustained during India’s Test series against England.
Notably, the right-handed batsman was sidelined for two months. LSG finds themselves at the bottom of the table after playing and losing one game. They faced defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the opening match by a margin of 20 runs.
It’s worth mentioning that LSG has yet to clinch an IPL trophy, and their opponents in today’s match, PBKS, have also been unsuccessful in securing the silverware since the beginning of the IPL.
