Once again, MS Dhoni has captured the internet’s attention. Following his remarkable display of big hitting in CSK’s loss to Delhi in Vizag earlier this week, Dhoni is now making headlines for his singing abilities. 

In a recent advertisement for an e-bike, shared on social media on Friday, MS Dhoni is seen singing Falguni Pathak’s hit song ‘Bole Jo Koyal’ flawlessly.

MS Dhoni is happily riding his e-bike, singing ‘Bole Jo Koyal’, with two birds that look like koyals joining him. The birds seem to appreciate Dhoni’s song and his choice of transport.

“In the advertisement, a bird’s voiceover declares, ‘Thala for a reason,’ charming the hearts of the superstar cricketer’s fans.”

MS Dhoni resigned as CSK captain before the IPL 2024 opener

MS Dhoni is renowned for his love of classic songs, and he’s been seen singing them while with the senior national team. One of his favourites is the song “Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shair Hoon” from the 1976 Bollywood hit ‘Khabie Khabie’.  In fact, Dhoni marked his retirement from international cricket by posting a series of photos from his playing days on Instagram, with this beloved song playing in the background.

Some Dhoni fans suggested that the advertisers cleverly incorporated the ‘Bole Jo Koyal’ song, noting its previous use to tease the star cricketer. Many have hailed it as the standout ad of the IPL 2024 season, applauding the writers for their creativity in crafting viral content featuring Indian cricketers.

Back in action on the field, Dhoni made a stylish return to competition. Despite the loss against Delhi, the 42-year-old showcased his enduring ability to hit the ball out of the park.

Dhoni’s quickfire 36 off 17 balls thrilled Super Kings fans as he sent the ball sailing into the stands in his classic fashion. He struck 3 sixes and 4 boundaries, with an impressive 20 runs scored off the final over delivered by DC pacer Anrich Nortje.

Many ex-cricketers and experts have advised CSK to capitalize on Dhoni’s revitalized batting prowess following his impressive performance in Vizag. CSK is scheduled to face SunRisers in Hyderabad for their fourth match of the IPL 2024 season on Friday.
