Cameron Green’s run-out dismissed Tristan Stubbs during the IPL match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. Stubbs, the right-handed batsman, was out for only three runs from four deliveries, shifting the momentum in favor of RCB.
The dismissal occurred during the 11th over of the Capitals’ chase. Green delivered a short ball, and Axar Patel played defensively on the pitch. Stubbs attempted a single. Green, the Australian all-rounder, remained vigilant, chasing the ball on his follow-through and executing a superb direct hit.

RCB’s dismissal brought DC’s score to 90/6 after 11 overs. Despite his early departure, Tristan Stubbs remains one of DC’s top run-scorers in IPL 2024, accumulating 321 runs in 12 innings, which includes two half-centuries.

DC’s interim captain Axar Patel won the toss and elected to field first against RCB in Sunday’s IPL match. RCB posted a total of 187/9 in their allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat first. They had a shaky start with skipper Faf du Plessis departing early. Virat Kohli also failed to capitalize on a decent start, scoring 27 off 13 balls.
Rajat Patidar played a key role with the bat, contributing 52 runs off 32 deliveries, which included three sixes and three boundaries. Additionally, Will Jacks and Cameron Green made valuable contributions with 41 (off 29 balls) and 32* (off 24 balls), respectively.
Khaleel Ahmed and Rasikh Dar Salam were the top wicket-takers for the Capitals, both securing two wickets each, while Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.
DC reached a score of 128/8 in 15.4 overs, with Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar batting. Axar Patel (57 off 39) was the final batsman to be dismissed, caught by RCB’s Faf du Plessis off the bowling of Yash Dayal.
