IPL 2024: [WATCH]- MS Dhoni Signs A Young Fan’s CSK Jersey

MS Dhoni recently engaged with a young fan and signed his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey. The iconic cricketer is currently in Bengaluru, gearing up for CSK’s final league match of IPL 2024 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The high-stakes game will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18. On Friday, a CSK fan page on Instagram posted a video showing MS Dhoni interacting with a young fan before the match against RCB.

In the video, Dhoni, in a playful mood, asks the child to climb onto the sofa before signing the back of his CSK jersey. You can watch the video here:

“Some teams have started using the spin option” – Mohammad Kaif discusses RCB’s strategy

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif highlighted that teams have deployed leg-spinners such as Rahul Chahar and Rashid Khan to contain MS Dhoni’s scoring in the death overs. He suggested that RCB might consider employing a similar strategy by using Karn Sharma.

However, Kaif expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of this tactic and cautioned against its potential drawbacks. Speaking on Star Sports, Kaif stated:

“Some teams have started using the spin option. They are bringing Rashid Khan or Rahul Chahar in the 19th or 20th over in front of Dhoni. The tactic has worked to a certain extent but I believe Karn Sharma won’t be able to do that job. Karn Sharma’s problem is that he wasn’t given chances to play regularly earlier.”

He added: “He will be under pressure that he is unable to make his place in the XI. He has bowled well in the last few matches but don’t give the 19th or 20th over to Karn Sharma.”

“He will be under pressure and Dhoni will dominate. He can hit five or six sixes in an over. Only proper bowlers who are in rhythm and have confidence and form can save you from Dhoni’s havoc.”
