Nehal Wadhera of the Mumbai Indians (MI) made an athletic catch inside the circle on Friday, May 17, 2024, in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), sending Deepak Hooda packing. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), hitter Nehal Wadhera made an outstanding performance on the field. The two teams are playing each other at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

With Marcus Stoinis out of the game in the sixth over, LSG looked to rebuild their innings with KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda in the middle overs. After scoring 20 runs for the third wicket, the pair needed to change their approach to have an effect. Hooda died in the course of doing so.

Piyush Chawla, a leg-spinner, attempted to be hit by the right-handed batter for a blow to the off side. But all he could manage was a thick edge that eventually reached Wadhera. He appeared to have located the fielder precisely. Wadhera had work ahead of him, though, as he took a slight detour and perfected the timing of his leap.

He landed on his back rather than his feet due to the force of the jump, which temporarily injured him.

Hooda left the game having scored just four runs off of nine deliveries, or 11 runs. After trapping Marcus Stoinis’s leg before the wicket earlier in the spell, it was Piyush Chawla’s second wicket of the game.
