Rohit Sharma, the opening batsman for Mumbai Indians (MI), concluded his IPL 2024 season with a fifty against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), scoring 68 runs before getting out. As he departed for the dressing room, the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium rose to their feet in applause.
In his last appearance of IPL 2024, Rohit Sharma took the field alongside South African newcomer Dewald Brevis as the opening pair for MI. They forged an 88-run partnership at the beginning, with Rohit assuming the role of the aggressor.
He amassed 68 runs from 38 deliveries before being caught by Mohsin Khan off Ravi Bishnoi’s delivery. As he departed, the majority of the Wankhede Stadium applauded the former MI captain for his stellar performance.

Wasim Jaffer believes that IPL spectators will not witness Rohit Sharma donning the Mumbai Indians jersey again
In the last evening, ex-Indian opener Wasim Jaffer shared a photo of Rohit on X. In his caption, Jaffer expressed his belief that this might be the final instance fans witnessed the Hitman sporting Mumbai Indians’ attire.

Following the MI vs. LSG match, Rohit was seen engaging in conversations with Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani and Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka.
