ICC T20 World Cup 2024: [WATCH] “Awaaz Aa Rahi Hai, Hello?” -Suryakumar Yadav Posts A Funny Reel To Amuse His Fans

Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav recently shared a humorous reel on Instagram to amuse his fans. Currently, the Mumbai native is in the USA with the Indian team, participating in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team officially qualified for the Super 8 on Wednesday after winning three consecutive group matches.

Suryakumar Yadav struggled with the bat in India‘s first two World Cup matches against Ireland and Pakistan. However, he regained his form in the game against the USA, scoring an unbeaten 50 off 49 balls on a challenging pitch.

Surya revived the innings after his team was reduced to 39/3 while chasing 111, forming a 72-run partnership with Shivam Dube (31*) to secure the victory without further trouble. Following his impressive performance, the flamboyant batter posted a humorous reel on his official Instagram account on Thursday, captioning it:

“Who can stand in front of Surya?” – Harbhajan Singh praises Suryakumar Yadav’s winning innings against the USA in the 2024 T20 World Cup

Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh praised Suryakumar Yadav for his pivotal half-century that rescued India from a challenging position against the USA. He also expressed enthusiasm for Shivam Dube’s contribution to their unbroken partnership. Speaking on Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh remarked:

“When Surya shines, his brightness is better than most, and who can stand in front of Surya? Shivam Dube also showed his colors along with him today. It was very nice to see the way they batted. That partnership set the tone not only for this match but for the upcoming matches as well about what this batting can do.”

Regarding the alliance between Suryakumar and Shivam Dube, Harbhajan additionally commented:

“The partnership came at a time when it was most required. They didn’t get bogged down. They focused on singles and doubles, which was the right approach to drive the game here. Whenever they got a chance in between, they hit fours and sixes. This partnership calmed the little commotion in the dressing room.”

India’s next match is scheduled against Canada on Saturday, June 15, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
