West Indian rapid bowler Jayden Seales delivered an accurate yorker to dispatch England opening batter Zak Crawley return to the pavilion in the opening Test match against England on Thursday, July 11th. Ben Stokes secured the toss and choose to bowl first below cloudy conditions.

The right-arm pacer claimed his maiden Test wicket by dismissing West Indian captain Kraigg Brathwaite for six in the 35th over of their innings. Atkinson continued his impressive spell by taking three wickets in four balls—Alick Athanaze, Jason Holder, and Joshua Da Silva—putting the West Indies on the back foot.

Mikyle Louis top-scored for the West Indies with 27 runs as they were bowled out for 121. James Anderson, in his farewell Test, also contributed with a wicket, dismissing Jayden Seales.

Meanwhile, Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes each took one wicket as England completely dominated Day 1 of the Test match.
