Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj ended Travis Head‘s fluent century with a stunning yorker on Day 2 of the second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. The left-hander was dismissed after scoring a game-changing 140 off just 141 balls in the first innings.
In the 82nd over, Head struck Siraj for a four and a six within three deliveries. However, the bowler countered with a pinpoint yorker that Head couldn’t handle, shattering the stumps as the batter failed to lower his bat in time. Siraj celebrated exuberantly, prompting loud cheers.
Following the dismissal, Siraj added a fiery touch to his celebration by hurling a few verbal jabs at Head and signaling him to leave the crease with animated hand gestures. The exchange sparked a reaction from Head, who had a few words of his own before heading back to the pavilion.

The 30-year-old also had a tense moment with Marnus Labuschagne on Day 1, throwing the ball towards the batter immediately after Labuschagne pulled out of his stance due to a distraction from the sightscreen.
Australia found themselves in a strong position at 332-8, thanks to Travis Head’s aggressive innings
Siraj’s fiery antics energized the crowd, who expressed their disapproval with boos every time he was near the ball. The umpires were seen having a word with him regarding his behavior. This incident adds to Siraj’s history with the Australian crowd, having faced racial abuse during India’s 2020-21 tour Down Under.
India capitalized on the new ball, claiming two late wickets as Pat Cummins followed Travis Head back to the pavilion, marking the end of the session. Australia ended at 332-8, holding a lead of 152 runs. Siraj had to work tirelessly on Day 2, partnering with Bumrah to spearhead India’s bowling effort. His current figures stand at 2-95 from 23 overs in the innings.
