Shubman Gill delivered a standout batting performance for India against England in the third ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, February 12. The right-handed batter reached his century in the 32nd over, driving a boundary off Mark Wood to achieve the milestone in 95 balls.

He went on to score 112 runs off 102 deliveries, hitting 14 boundaries and three sixes. During his impressive innings, Gill built century partnerships with Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer for the second and third wickets, respectively.

For those unaware, Gill has an exceptional record in Ahmedabad, having notched up six centuries at the venue—one in each format and three in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 25-year-old also captains Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL.

Gill is currently the highest run-scorer in the three-match series, having registered scores of 87 and 60 in the first two ODIs. The Punjab batter will now aim to carry his fine form into the ICC Champions Trophy. India is set to kick off their campaign against Bangladesh in Dubai on Thursday, February 20.

After back-to-back fifties, he finally converted his start into a century in the third ODI in Ahmedabad. Set to open alongside Rohit Sharma in the 2025 Champions Trophy, his impressive form against England is a major boost for India ahead of the tournament.
