
The Kolkata Knight Riders’ unique Trophy Tour kicked off in Guwahati on Friday, bringing the thrill of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to the cricket-loving state of Assam. The prestigious IPL trophy made its way to several iconic locations, beginning with the Kamakhya Temple before heading to the Brahmaputra Riverfront in Panbazar.
The tour concluded at City Center Mall, where enthusiastic crowds and passionate cricket fans gathered, highlighting the deep bond between KKR and its dedicated supporters in Northeast India. Fans had the chance to capture unforgettable moments with the coveted trophy while participating in engaging games and giveaways.
This celebration honored the team’s achievements while strengthening the bond between the franchise and its loyal followers. This is the first time an IPL franchise has taken a Trophy Tour beyond its home city, aiming to give KKR fans nationwide a chance to engage with the trophy and celebrate their team’s success.
As part of its extensive journey ahead of the new season, the tour will take the IPL trophy to nine cities, commencing in Guwahati on February 14 and culminating in Kolkata, the City of Joy, between March 12 and 16.
The Trophy Tour will cover multiple locations, including Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Gangtok, Siliguri, Patna, Durgapur, and Kolkata. Through this initiative, KKR aims to create memorable experiences for fans who have shown support over the years.
The franchise seeks to bring them closer to the celebrations, making them feel part of the Knight Riders’ family. This interaction will allow fans to witness the trophy firsthand and create lasting memories with cricket’s ultimate prize.
As part of this grand celebration, fans can take part in thrilling cricket-themed games such as Cricket Rock Paper Scissors and Cricket Pong. Every visitor will have the chance to win exciting prizes and exclusive KKR merchandise, making their trophy-viewing experience even more special.
