[WATCH] Suresh Raina Makes A Blunder While Picking Three Teams For 2025 Champions Trophy Semifinals

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina made a significant mistake while predicting the semifinalists for the 2025 Champions Trophy by selecting three teams from the same group. The tournament, which begins on February 19, will feature eight teams.

Group A consists of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B has Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

Raina’s top four picks for the tournament were India, Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan. However, as all three of Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan are in Group B, only two of them can qualify for the semifinals. You can watch the video here:

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has selected Pakistan, India, England, and Australia as his top four teams for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Ex-Indian opener Murali Vijay opted for India, Pakistan, Australia, and South Africa, while Aakash Chopra named India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Afghanistan as his semifinalists.

Former Indian batting coach Sanjay Bangar picked South Africa, Australia, India, and Pakistan, and Deep Dasgupta chose India, Pakistan, Australia, and England as his preferred semifinal teams.

Suresh Raina reveals his preferred India XI for the 2025 Champions Trophy

Here’s the ideal India XI for the Champions Trophy, as shared by Raina on a Star Sports show:

Rohit Sharma (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Kuldeep Yadav.
