Playing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Kishan smashed an unbeaten 106 off just 47 balls, helping SRH post a mammoth total of 286 runs. His century was the third-fastest for SRH in IPL history.

Former New Zealand pacer Simon Doull praised SRH’s environment for restoring Kishan’s confidence but was critical of the Mumbai Indians’ (MI) setup from the previous season. Doull described MI’s system as “dysfunctional” and suggested that a change of environment was exactly what Kishan needed to regain his form.
Speaking on Cricbuzz, Doull remarked that sometimes a fresh setup, new coaches, and clear communication can reignite a player’s confidence. He emphasized that Kishan’s performance against RR was proof that the right environment can bring out the best in a player. According to Doull, Kishan’s ability to continue the aggressive approach after Abhishek’s dismissal demonstrated his regained confidence and belief in his abilities.
