[WATCH]- Fan Stopped by Police While Trying To Meet Shah Rukh Khan Following KKR vs RCB Match

A fan faced strong action from Kolkata Police after attempting to enter the field to meet Shah Rukh Khan following the IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday, March 22. The incident took place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the venue for the match.

After the game, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan took a victory lap, acknowledging the crowd’s support. Eager to meet the Bollywood superstar, a fan from the stands climbed the tall fence but was swiftly pulled down by the police. Officers grabbed him by the collar, choked him briefly, and reprimanded him.

Notably, this happened shortly after another fan successfully bypassed security to meet Virat Kohli during his innings. You can watch the video here:

KKR secure first IPL 2025 win with 8-wicket victory over RR in Guwahati

After a loss in their opener, KKR secured their first IPL 2025 win against RR on March 26. Batting first on a tricky Guwahati pitch, RR managed 151/9, with Jurel (33), Jaiswal (29), and Parag (25) chipping in, while KKR’s spinners controlled the game.

In response, the visitors comfortably chased down the target in just 17.3 overs, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten 97 off 61 balls from opener Quinton de Kock, who was named Player of the Match. Reflecting on KKR’s victory during the post-match presentation, De Kock said:

“Nice to get out here and make the opportunity count, win it for the boys. I haven’t felt any challenges yet, I had three months off around Christmas. Coming back into cricket, lucky we had 10 days off camp. Couple of warm-up matches made it pretty easy to get out here and play the game.”

De Kock further added:

“It’s only my second game here. I take it as I see it. Luckily we batted second, as a keeper I got to watch the wicket, see how the ball’s behaving and adjust when I walked out to bat. I played the situation, the IPL’s known for big scores. Needed to get out there and win the game instead.”
