IPL 2025: Sanjana Ganesan Slams Public Over Son Angad’s Viral Moment During MI vs LSG

Sanjana Ganesan, broadcaster and wife of Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Jasprit Bumrah, issued a strong message after photos of their son, Angad, went viral during the IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 27. Some internet users mocked the young boy’s reaction after Jasprit Bumrah took a wicket during the game.

In response, Sanjana addressed the negativity by posting a firm statement on her Instagram story, criticizing those who made comments about her son’s expressions.

“Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment,” she wrote in her story.

Sanjana Ganesan stated that she and Jasprit Bumrah try to shield their son Angad from social media. While recognizing the attention that comes with bringing a child to a stadium, she emphasized that their only intent was to support Jasprit, not to seek public attention.

She further pointed out that it is unfair to form opinions about their son or his personality based on just a few seconds of footage.

“Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else.”

“We have no interest in our son being viral Internet content or national news, with unneccessarily opinionated keyboard warriors deciding who Angad is, what his problem is, what his personality is, from 3 seconds of footage.” she wrote.

Jasprit Bumrah Delivers Stellar Bowling Performance Against LSG

Jasprit Bumrah delivered an outstanding performance with the ball against LSG at the Wankhede Stadium. The pace spearhead was instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ win, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 22 in his four-over spell.

Bumrah dismissed Aiden Markram, David Miller, Abdul Samad, and Avesh Khan to help MI bowl out LSG for 161 after posting 215/7. Returning from injury, he has taken nine wickets in six IPL 2025 matches, playing a key role in MI’s impressive resurgence.
