The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala on May 8 was abandoned due to attacks from Pakistan across India. The match was halted after 10.1 overs, with PBKS at 122/1. Special Train Arranged for Players

The BCCI has arranged a special train to transport the players and match officials from Dharamsala to Delhi, sources informed India Today. The nearest railway station, Una, is expected to be the boarding point for the two teams, support staff, and match officials.

“We Are Closely Monitoring the Situation”- BCCI

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia explained the decision to cancel the match in an interview with India Today.

“The situation is not stable at the moment, and that is why we have cancelled today’s match, not just in Dharamsala, but also due to escalating tensions from the neighbouring country. The safety of players, spectators, and support staff is our top priority.”

“We will do everything that is in the best interest of the nations involved. We are closely monitoring the situation and will make further decisions accordingly,” he said.
