The IPL 2025 season is set to resume following a one-week suspension, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) facing off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday, May 17. The match will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as originally planned.
Previously, when the temporary pause in the tournament was announced, RCB had declared that ticket refunds would be issued for their remaining two home games against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and KKR. However, the franchise has now released an updated statement concerning ticketing and refund policies for the KKR fixture.
Since the RCB vs KKR match will go ahead on the originally scheduled date, time, and venue, the tickets already issued for this game will remain valid. As a result, no refunds will be processed for this particular match.

RCB Eye Playoff Berth in Crucial Clash Against KKR as IPL 2025 Resumes
Currently, RCB are positioned second on the points table with eight victories and three losses from 11 games, collecting a total of 16 points. The Bengaluru side is in excellent form, coming into the fixture against KKR on the back of four consecutive wins.
As the league gets back underway, a victory over KKR will propel RCB to 18 points, securing their place in the playoffs and making them the first team this season to do so. Meanwhile, defending champions KKR have registered five wins from 12 matches, earning 11 points.
Even if KKR win their last two games, they’ll only reach 15 points—possibly falling short of playoff qualification. Still, they’ll aim to finish on a high. For RCB, the match is crucial to seal a playoff berth and boost their chances of a top-two finish.
