India pacer Arshdeep Singh was seen dancing on the staircase leading to the dressing room at Emirates Old Trafford after the visitors pulled off a gritty draw in the fourth Test against England. The match concluded on Sunday, July 27. Starting Day 5 at 174/2 after 63 overs and still trailing by 137 runs to avoid an innings defeat, India had KL Rahul (87*) and Shubman Gill (78*) at the crease.
Rahul was dismissed early in the day by Ben Stokes for 90, while skipper Gill went on to notch up a century before falling for 103 just before lunch, leaving India at four down. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar steadied the innings with a defiant and unbroken 203-run stand for the fifth wicket, facing 334 balls.
Jadeja notched up his fifth Test century, remaining unbeaten on 107 from 185 balls, while Sundar scored his maiden hundred, ending on 101* off 206 deliveries. India ended their second innings at 425/4 after 143 overs, securing a lead of 114 runs before both sides agreed to a draw.
Following the hard-fought escape, pacer Arshdeep Singh was visibly elated and celebrated the moment with a cheerful dance on the staircase while heading back to the dressing room. You can watch the video here:

Arshdeep Singh Sidelined From 4th Test After Sustaining Injury
Arshdeep Singh did not feature in the first three Tests of the ongoing series against England. However, with Akash Deep sidelined due to a groin issue, Arshdeep had emerged as a strong contender to make his debut in the Manchester Test. Unfortunately, the left-arm pacer was ruled out after suffering an impact injury to his left thumb during a net session in Beckenham.
With the focus now on the upcoming final Test, it remains uncertain whether Arshdeep will finally get his maiden opportunity, although head coach Gautam Gambhir has confirmed that all fast bowlers are fully fit ahead of the match.
