Former Indian cricket coach Ravi Shastri has expressed strong support for Sanju Samson continuing as an opening batsman in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. Despite the return of Shubman Gill as vice-captain after a year-long absence, Shastri stressed that replacing Samson in the opening slot would not be an easy decision, given his impressive performances in recent matches.
