A touching video of Rohit Sharma embracing a fan has gone viral ahead of India’s upcoming ODI series against Australia. The experienced batter is set to return to international cricket Down Under. In the video, as Rohit was getting into his car, a fan knelt at his feet.

The 38-year-old gently stepped back, placed a hand on the fan’s shoulder, and requested him not to touch his feet, before giving him a warm hug. The fan, wearing a Team India ODI T-shirt, was visibly thrilled, while Rohit looked casual in a black T-shirt, jeans, and a cap.

The fan shared a brief conversation with Rohit before he got into his car, and the cricketer also shook hands with another fan present at the scene.

This clearly shows Rohit Sharma’s determination to feature in the 2027 ODI World Cup. The right-handed batter has played 273 ODIs, amassing 11,168 runs at an average of 48.76, including 32 centuries and 58 half-centuries. He will be eager to deliver strong performances in Australia.
