[WATCH]- Gill And Arshdeep’s Funny Banter Before 2nd T20I vs Australia Goes Viral

Team India stars Shubman Gill and Arshdeep Singh were seen teasing Abhishek Sharma after arriving in Melbourne ahead of the second T20I against Australia on Friday, October 31. Gill, who serves as the team’s T20I vice-captain, playfully mocked his opening partner’s unusual bag, joking, “Ithe pyaaj hai, uthe aloo.”

The first T20I between the two teams at Canberra’s Manuka Oval was washed out due to persistent rain. Despite India’s strong start before the interruption, they will need to reset and begin afresh when the second match gets underway. Watch the video below as Arshdeep jokingly questions Abhishek about his bag:

“Yeh limited edition hai?” (Is this limited edition?)

A few moments later, the 26-year-old remarked:

“Ithe pyaaj hai, uthe aloo.” (Here are onions, over there it’s potatoes.)

Shubman Gill remains unbeaten on 37 in rain-hit first T20I against Australia

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill looked in excellent touch before rain ended play at the Manuka Oval, smashing four fours and a six in his unbeaten 20-ball 37. After a lean run in the ODI series, the Punjab batter would have been delighted to regain his rhythm. Abhishek Sharma was the lone Indian wicket to fall, dismissed for 19 by Nathan Ellis with a clever back-of-the-hand slower ball.

At number three, Suryakumar Yadav continued the charge with an unbeaten 39 off 24 balls, which included three boundaries and two sixes, guiding India to 97/1 in just 9.4 overs. The Men in Blue will aim to carry this momentum into the second T20I at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The visitors had earlier lost the ODI series 2-1, with Australia clinching the first two matches to secure the series before India bounced back with a commanding nine-wicket win in the final game in Sydney.
