“No Woman Deserves To Be Photographed From That Angle’: Hardik Pandya Slams Paparazzi Over Girlfriend’s Pictures
Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya recently took to social media to condemn a paparazzi incident involving his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma. He acknowledged that “living in the public eye comes with attention and scrutiny, it’s part of the life I’ve chosen.” However, he made it clear that what happened went too far: “But today something happened that crossed a line.”

According to Pandya, Mahieka was simply walking down a staircase at a restaurant in Bandra when photographers captured her “from an angle that no woman deserves to be photographed from.” He described the situation as turning “a private moment … into cheap sensationalism.”

This distinction — between being open to public attention and accepting invasive, disrespectful coverage — is at the core of his criticism. Pandya seems to draw a clear line: public life may invite attention, but that doesn’t justify violating someone’s dignity under the guise of “news.”

Demand for respect and media ethics

Pandya’s message was more than just a personal outburst — it was a broader plea for media responsibility. He wrote: “This isn’t about headlines or who clicked what, it’s about basic respect. Women deserve dignity. Everyone deserves boundaries.”

He addressed the “media brothers” directly, saying he understands their profession and “always cooperate.” But he urged them to “be a little more mindful.” According to him, “Not everything needs to be captured. Not every angle needs to be taken. Let’s keep some humanity in this game.”

Pandya’s remarks reflect a growing concern about how intrusive media coverage — especially paparazzi-style photography — can dehumanize individuals, particularly women. By appealing to decency over sensational headlines, he called for a more respectful approach to media coverage of private lives.

Privacy, dignity and the cost of fame

The incident involving Mahieka Sharma serves as a reminder of the often-overlooked human cost of fame. While celebrities and public figures understand that attention comes with their status, Pandya’s reaction suggests that some boundaries should remain inviolable.

His criticism underscores that being recognized by the public does not equate to surrendering personal dignity or consent. By calling out the media’s intrusive behavior, Pandya is not just defending his partner — he is challenging a larger culture of exploitation driven by sensationalism.

Ultimately, his words remind us: “every woman … deserves dignity” and “everyone deserves boundaries.”
