Biratnagar Kings’ chase turned catastrophic from the opening delivery. Sam Heazlett was caught off the first ball, followed by Martin Guptill’s run-out and Naren Bhatta’s dismissal, leaving Kings reeling at 3 for 3 in 1.1 overs. Faf du Plessis’ resistance of 36 off 29 proved insufficient as the Royals’ bowling unit delivered a masterclass.
Scott Kuggeleijn, Harmeet Singh, and Abinash Bohara each claimed two wickets, dismantling Kings for just 78 in 14.1 overs. Bohara’s standout performance elevated him to the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets, surpassing Lamichhane.
