Team India’s Jitesh Sharma shared a humorous moment with women’s cricketer Harleen Deol ahead of the second T20I against South Africa. The match took place on Thursday, December 11, in Mullanpur. Before the game kicked off, Jitesh walked over to Harleen on the field, bent down, and touched her feet, prompting her to smile and gently pat his back.
Jitesh carried his bat and batting gloves in one hand and held his wicketkeeping gloves in the other, dressed in his training outfit. Harleen, meanwhile, was fully dressed for the occasion and wearing sunglasses. The pair chatted briefly before Jitesh headed away, with Harleen giving him another friendly pat on the shoulder as he left.

South Africa Beat India By 51 Runs To Square The T20I Series
India, on the other hand, slipped to a 51-run loss in the second T20I. Batting first, South Africa piled up a massive 213/4, with Quinton de Kock leading the charge through a blistering 90 off 46 balls. Varun Chakaravarthy was the most effective bowler for India, finishing with figures of 2/29 in his four overs.
India’s chase began poorly, losing three wickets inside the powerplay and never recovering enough to challenge the target. The Proteas eventually bowled them out for 162 in 19.1 overs. Jitesh Sharma contributed a brisk 27 off 17 deliveries, hitting two fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 158.82.
Tilak Varma stood out with a fluent 62 from 34 balls, which included two boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 182.35. Despite these efforts, India fell well short. The victory helped South Africa draw level in the five-match series at 1-1, after India had won the opener by 101 runs.
The third T20I will now be played in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14, where India will look to bounce back, while South Africa aim to build on their momentum.
