[WATCH]- Markram Grabs Sensational Catch To Remove Abhishek Sharma In 3rd T20I

South Africa skipper Aiden Markram pulled off a superb catch to remove Abhishek Sharma during the third T20I against India in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14. The left-hander was dismissed for a brisk 35 off 18 deliveries, with India losing their first wicket at 60 in the sixth over of the chase.

The breakthrough came when Corbin Bosch bowled a length delivery outside off and Abhishek went for an ambitious shot on the off side. While the ball took elevation, it lacked the required distance after coming off the lower part of the bat. Markram charged in from cover and showed great athleticism to complete the catch, diving forward as two other fielders closed in.

Despite his brief stay, Abhishek made a telling impact, hammering three sixes and three boundaries. You can watch the video here:

Abhishek Sharma Leads India’s Dominant Run Chase In 3rd T20I vs South Africa

World No.1-ranked T20I batter Abhishek Sharma provided India with a blazing start in their chase of 118 against South Africa in the third T20I. At the time of writing, the hosts had raced to 83 for 1 after eight overs, with Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma batting in the middle. Put in to bat first, South Africa were bowled out for 117 in their 20 overs.

Captain Aiden Markram led from the front with a fighting 61 off 46 balls, striking two sixes and six boundaries. Donovan Ferreira contributed 20 off 15 deliveries, while Anrich Nortje added a run-a-ball 12, as they were the only other batters to reach double figures. Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets each for India.

Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube chipped in with one wicket apiece. A victory would put Suryakumar Yadav’s side 2-1 ahead in the five-match series. India had earlier clinched the opening game by 101 runs in Cuttack, while South Africa bounced back with a 51-run win in Mullanpur. The fourth T20I is scheduled to be played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday, December 17.
