[WATCH] MS Dhoni Reaches Bollywood Star’s Panvel Farmhouse For Birthday Bash
MS Dhoni

Former India skipper and Chennai Super Kings icon MS Dhoni visited Bollywood megastar Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse ahead of the actor’s 60th birthday. With Salman set to turn 60 on Saturday, December 27, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter arrived at the venue along with his family. A video capturing the moment has been widely shared on social media.

The Ranchi-born cricketer was seated in the front passenger seat, while his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva occupied the rear seats. Dressed casually, Dhoni was surrounded by paparazzi as they clicked photos of his arrival. He was seen politely requesting them to clear the way so that his car could move forward. Even after stepping away from international cricket in August 2020, the 44-year-old continues to be among the most celebrated personalities in the game. Since making his debut in 2004, he represented India in 98 T20Is, 350 ODIs, and 90 Tests, playing a crucial role in the team’s success across all formats.

He stands alone as the only captain to have lifted all three ICC white-ball trophies. The wicketkeeper-batter still turns out for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, guiding the franchise to five championship titles as captain, and also holds numerous records in the league.

Stephen Fleming Explains CSK’s Call To Sign Sanju Samson Amid MS Dhoni Transition

Speaking at the IPL 2026 auction, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming shed light on the franchise’s decision to sign Sanju Samson, stating that it was a move aligned with their long-term succession plans and that Samson has the ability to slot in as an opener. Fleming was quoted by ESPNcricinfo as saying:

“The opportunity was there. We felt we were still a little bit light in our opening batting. And we were also looking at [the fact that] at some point MS Dhoni will move on. Sanju is an international-quality player and he fills that role very well, so succession planning.”

“And just opportunity really, just again looking at refreshing and seeing what Chennai will look like in six years’ time, not two years’ time. And just making sure that there’s a succession [plan] around the players we are introducing.”
