India’s Hardik Pandya pulled off a juggling catch to give the hosts their first breakthrough, sending Devon Conway back to the pavilion in the second T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand. The match is taking place on Friday, January 23, in Raipur. The wicket fell on the second delivery of the fourth over of New Zealand’s innings.
Harshit Rana bowled a slower ball at 115.2 km/h, deceiving the southpaw, who ended up toe-ending his shot towards mid-off. Pandya dived to his right and secured the catch on his third attempt, giving the Men in Blue their first scalp of the match. You can watch the video here:

Conway scored 19 from just nine deliveries, including three fours and a six, as his wicket left the Black Caps on 43/1 after 3.2 overs.
New Zealand Stumble Early As Both Openers Fall After Fast Start
Sent in to bat, New Zealand started aggressively, with Devon Conway launching Arshdeep Singh for 18 runs in the opening over. Hardik Pandya steadied the innings in the next over, giving away just seven runs. Arshdeep returned for his second spell but was again punished, conceding 18 runs as Tim Seifert struck four consecutive boundaries.
In the fourth over, Harshit Rana ended the 43-run opening stand by dismissing Conway for 19. The following over saw Varun Chakaravarthy remove Seifert, who scored 24 off 13 balls. At the time of reporting, New Zealand were 64/2 after six overs, with Rachin Ravindra on 19 and Glenn Phillips on 1 at the crease.
