Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja smashed towering sixes during his maiden training session with the Rajasthan Royals ahead of Indian Premier League 2026, which is scheduled to start on March 28. Jadeja was traded from the Chennai Super Kings to RR for ₹14 crore before the IPL 2026 auction.

As the former IPL champions kicked off preparations for the new season, Jadeja trained for the first time in Rajasthan colours. He was spotted in the team’s practice kit, sporting a pink RR helmet and matching pads.

The left-handed all-rounder looked in fine touch with the bat, launching several powerful sixes during the nets session. Displaying a clean swing and solid timing, he struck some impressive shots, including big hits over long-off and long-on.

“First day with RR camp. Feeling very good. Hit a few shots today after a long time, many more to come,” he said.

Ravindra Jadeja Rejoins Rajasthan Royals After 2009

Notably, Ravindra Jadeja began his Indian Premier League journey with the Rajasthan Royals during the inaugural 2008 season and represented the franchise for two years until 2009. He did not feature in the 2010 edition but returned to the league in 2011 with the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

In 2012, Jadeja joined the Chennai Super Kings, where he played until 2015. When CSK served a two-year suspension, the all-rounder turned out for the now-defunct Gujarat Lions in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. After CSK returned to the IPL in 2018, Jadeja also rejoined the Chennai-based side and continued with them for several years.

Now, for the first time since 2009, Jadeja is set to represent the Rajasthan Royals once again in the IPL. Overall, the experienced all-rounder has played 254 matches in the tournament. He has scored 3,260 runs at an average of 27.86 and a strike rate of 130.29, including five half-centuries.

With the ball, he has taken 170 wickets at an average of 30.51 while maintaining an economy rate of 7.67.
