Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer smashed a stunning one-handed six off Delhi Capitals pacer Lungi Ngidi on Monday, May 11. DC skipper Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
Iyer came in to bat at No. 3 when PBKS were 78/1 after 6.5 overs. The right-hander looked in great touch and played some classy shots during his innings, including a brilliant one-handed six straight down the ground.
On the fourth ball of the 12th over, Ngidi fooled Iyer with a cleverly disguised slower cutter. Even though the PBKS skipper was early into the shot and lost his bottom hand from the bat handle, he still connected sweetly and sent the ball over the long-off boundary for a six.
