[WATCH]- Dream Start for Prince Yadav as He Sends Ben Curran Back Off His First Ball

Pacer Prince Yadav made an instant impact in the second T20I between Zimbabwe and India by taking a wicket with his very first ball. After India posted a strong total of 219/5 in Harare, the young fast bowler gave his team the perfect start with the ball. Brought into the attack in the fifth over of Zimbabwe’s chase, Prince struck on the very first delivery.

He dismissed Ben Curran for just one run with a hard-length ball that angled across and bounced a bit extra. Curran tried to work it towards the leg side but only managed a leading edge. The ball flew to third man, where Shivam Dube safely completed the catch.

With that wicket, Zimbabwe lost both their openers within the space of just three balls. Yash Thakur had dismissed Brian Bennett in the previous over, leaving the hosts struggling at 34/2.It was also the second time Prince Yadav had dismissed Ben Curran in the series, after removing him for 10 runs off 8 balls in the first T20I.

Prince then picked up another big wicket by dismissing Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza for a duck. However, his spell was cut short as he walked off the field with a hamstring injury.

Prince Yadav Stars With Brilliant Spell in the First T20I

Prince Yadav has been in excellent form in the Zimbabwe series. Before the second T20I, he had already played a key role in India’s win in the opening match with an impressive bowling performance. After India restricted Zimbabwe to 125/7, the visitors chased down the target comfortably in just 13.2 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Prince was one of India’s standout bowlers, finishing with figures of 2/19 in his four overs while maintaining an economy rate of just 4.80. He dismissed Ben Curran and Brad Evans. The young fast bowler had struggled during the England series and was under pressure after taking only two wickets in three matches at an average of 59 and an economy rate of 10.72.

However, he has bounced back strongly in Zimbabwe. Along with Mayank Yadav, Ashok Sharma, and Yash Thakur, Prince has led India’s pace attack impressively in the series so far.
