Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan, on Monday (September 28) said that the international players will not participate in the Lankan Premier League (LPL), which is scheduled to start from October 1. The BCB President said that the players will be busy with their own domestic cricket during that time.
This also rules out Shakib Al Hasan’s participation in any T20 franchise league this year, as he is serving a year-long ban. Meanwhile, as many as 150 players have been signed by the Sri Lankan Cricket board to play in the Lankan Premier League.
Among some of the big names include Chris Gayle, Daren Sammy, Darren Bravo, Shahid Afridi, Colin Munro, Ravi Bopara amongst others.
”I don’t think there is any possibility to see Bangladeshi cricketers taking part in the LPL.Because at that point of time we will have domestic cricket and they will be engaged here,” Hasan said to reporters on Monday.
