The defending champions Mumbai Indians register yet another clinical win in IPL 2020. Rohit Sharma and his men outperform the Rajasthan Royals at Abu Dhabi.
Batting first MI put on a mammoth total of 193 runs on the board. Suryakumar Yadav starred with the bat as he made his highest IPL score of 79 from just 47 balls and remained unbeaten till the end.

The chase was always going to be a mountain to climb for the Royals batsman against the gun bowling attack of MI. The deadly pace trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and James Pattinson was on song from ball one.
Bumrah sent royals skipper Steve Smith packing whereas Boult removed the young Yashasvi Jaiswal. The pick of the MI bowlers was their leader of the pace attack Bumrah as he had match figures of 4-20.

Jos Buttler tried his level best but ultimately hold out at the boundary rope for 70 as Kieron Pollard took a stunner. Apart from Buttler no other Royals batsmen could get going and they suffered their third consecutive loss in IPL 2020.

Rohit added, “The conditions are helpful here for the quick bowlers. It was nipping around to start with and it’s good to have bowlers who can exploit the conditions. We also worked a lot on our fielding, because it’s one of the controllable in the game and we made it a point to do that well”.
