The Royal Challengers Bangalore put on an absolute show today at Dubai. Virat Kohli and his men were flawless in every department and registered a clinical win over Chennai Super Kings.

Batting first Royal Challengers Bangalore were in a spot of bother after the first 10 overs. Then skipper Kohli turned it on for his side and produced batting of the highest order. On a tricky Dubai pitch, Kohli alone stood tall against CSK bowlers and put on a batting exhibition.

RCB Win By 37 Runs Against CSK

Kohli played an unbeaten majestic knock of 90 runs and took his side to a competitive score. Kohli in his innings scored 50 runs alone in singles and doubles as he also showcased his incredible fitness in testing conditions.

It was expected to be close-run chase by CSK but it quickly went downhill. They lost both their in-form openers Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson early after which they never really recovered.

The CSK batsmen showed no great intent after that as they match kept on slipping away from them. Once MS Dhoni fell to Chahal it was the clincher and RCB, in the end, registered their 4th win of IPL 2020.

Virat Kohli Calls It A Complete Performance After Beating CSK

Unsurprisingly for his sublime batting effort, Virat Kohli was also the man of the match. Here’s what he had to say post the big win against CSK in the post-match presentation.

“It was one of our most complete performances. We got into a bit of a tricky position in the first half. From there on, we pushed forward. We spoke during the second timeout (with the bat) that 140-150 would be good. Ended up getting more than that. It was a tricky pitch. Really pleased to get two points”.

“We have back-to-back games coming up, so important to build momentum. It’s about understanding the conditions and respecting the game. Instead of trying to hit every ball into the second tier of the stadium”.

“Having played so much cricket, especially T20 cricket, I have learnt that if you are set at death, you can capitalize. (Whether the Super Over vs MI helped him) Before that, I was trying to do too much. If you think too much about responsibility, you get burdened. That Super Over where I had to strike, else we would have lost, freed me up”.

“Training all these days also helped. Yes, Morris has been really good, gun on the field and three wickets on debut. With him and Gurkeerat, the batting also gets deep. When you get momentum in this format, it can be the difference between finishing at the top or at the bottom”, Kohli said post the big win against CSK.
